COOL Driving
Terms & Conditions

*Payment for tuition must be made no later than 48 hours prior to any booked lesson except for your very first lesson where payment is required 72 hours prior. If payment is not received in time then any lesson booked may be cancelled and reallocated to another pupil.

*If a pupil fails to show for a booked lesson or cancels without giving 24 hours notice then the booked lesson will be charged for.

*Payment may be made by bank transfer or cash – payments by cheque are no longer accepted. Unfortunately, at this time, we do not have the facilities to take payment by debit/credit card.

*Lesson Gift Vouchers are only valid for 12 months from date of issue and carry no monetary refund value. Any prepaid lessons must be used within 6 months of purchase or are forfeited and no refund will be issued against any credit not used.

*Where payment is made for a block of hours that have a discount applied, any refund later requested against unused hours are subject to those hours used being charged at the standard hourly rate. Any difference between the cost of the hours taken (charged at the standard hourly rate) and the initial block payment will then be refunded.

*Your instructor reserves the right to postpone any lesson at short notice in the event of mechanical failure with the tuition vehicle, illness or severe adverse weather conditions which may make driving dangerous. Lessons paid for in advance, that are cancelled at short notice by your instructor, will be carried over.

*Your instructor reserves the right to cancel any lesson immediately if they suspect the pupil to be unfit to drive due to the effects of alcohol, drugs (prescribed or otherwise) or any other condition that would cause his/her driving to be illegal/unsafe. In such circumstances the lesson will be charged for.

*In the interests of road safety your instructor reserves the right to withdraw their vehicle for use in a practical driving test should, in the instructor’s opinion, the pupil prove not to be at test standard.

*COOL Driving can not be held responsible for practical driving tests postponed/cancelled by the DVSA.

On the rare occasion that a pupil is unable to take their practical driving test due to instructor illness or a mechanical fault with the instructor’s vehicle, COOL Driving will pay to rebook a new test appointment for the pupil at the earliest possible date available. Any additional lessons taken by the pupil between the cancelled/postponed date and the revised test date will be at the pupil’s own expense.

COOL Driving terms and conditions are stated to avoid misunderstanding and do not affect your statutory rights.
